Problem loading Trainz 2006 with SP1

I've recently purchased a copy of Trainz 2006, which installed fine, and loads up fine on my computer, but I've wanted to download a lot of fan made routes/vehicles etc and they recommend that I install SP1 in order for them to run So I followed the procedure of uninstalling Trainz 2006...
