Just before Christmas, I saw a video which suggested that the station would open on time, but a team from TRU would be coming back in February?to do some final “snagging“ and “finishing off”, so before everyone jumps in with the criticism, let’s wait till things are finally finished.

I’ve just came across a video on YouTube which includes drone footage from Huddersfield station to the new sidings.

I’m wondering if the culverts will also have an embankment placed on top, at side of the tracks, to obscure the sight of trains passing by, there are few areas where that seams to be happening.

Quite, it’s a big job, not something that can be done with a couple of weekend possessions, as much as some people think it could/should be.

I find it strange that the article is written by a “Political Editor “. I could understand if it was written by a Transport or Health correspondent, but “Political” suggests other things are at play.

The fact that it’s the TVCA, and not “just“ Redcar & Cleveland Council who are looking to find a solution, is quite telling, l think the funding will be found whatever is decided.

For me, there are Two possible solutions:- Option A, Relocate the Cricket Club, widen Locke Road and bridge, and put a roundabout where the current Cricket Club is,towards Coatham Road end of the site. Option B, Build a bridge on Redcar Lane using the land that is currently used as allotments...

But if Ben Houchen get Re-elected, there every chance he will build a new station at Teesside Park. But, having said that, once Darlington station is re-developed, there may not be a direct link.

As I understand it, people’s front doors are currently 8-10 above the railhead, so any wiring would be at an unacceptable height from a safety point of view. With the station moving 300 meters, I was wondering if there was scope to lower the trackbed enough to put a cut and cover tunnel through...

Interesting question, just out of curiosity, how far could the track be safely lowered? And would it assist in electrifying the full section through Moseley?
