Wharfedale Line Burley In Wharfedale to Ben Rhydding.
Towards Ilkley: 60 mph (I believe)
Towards Guiseley: 50 mph.
I presume this is due to the Guiseley bound line being closer to the embankment edge
Evening all.Apologies if this question has been asked and answered previously, but I notice that the LNER services to/from Harrogate arrive and depart from Platform 3. But looking at Open Rail Map, there doesn't appear to be a crossover anywhere near Harrogate to allow for a train from the Leeds...
Shipley - served by through trains to/from Bradford, Leeds, Ilkley, Skipton, Carlisle and Morecambe all day, sees a Bradford to Shipley shuttle on an evening.
The Bradford to Carnforth was previously a Skipton to Lancaster, I believe, but was extended to provide an additional service up the...
Apologies if someone else has brought this point up, but IF these two win and the court rules that the platform is their property (i.e they own it), wouldn't that make them liable for it's upkeep. Maintenance and also liable for any passenger injuries etc?
I'm close enough to the Airedale line to hear horns (and occasionally the odd train itself if loud enough) but much closer to the Worth Valley line. Lovely to hear the kettle's chuffing by on their way out of Keighley and even lovelier in summer when the smell of the coal burning comes in...

LNER cancel their train and supply a replacement bus.
EMR have their own train to the same destination a few minutes later.
All well and good moaning about the 'duplication', but while LNER may have known how many passengers had at least reserved seats on the train...
And where do you find a replacement driver that doesn't need 12 months or however long to be trained, is fully route trained (or who is able to drop everything and potentially move across the country) to replace the sacked driver instantly to prevent a shortage later that day or the next day or...
On a different topic, the only crossing loop on the line is at North Llanrwst station.
How do trains operate through the station? Do they use both platforms or (as the line is essentially 'one train in steam' unless there is a charter or something) do trains use the same platform/track in either...
There is no mention of the railcard in your message to Trainline, so while they are correct in saying the ticket is valid (an undiscounted one would be), had you mentioned the railcard, they would (presumably) have mentioned the minimum fare. The validity of the ticket itselfis not affected...
If it hasn't already been mentioned, while the Lancaster Castle to Morecambe line is closed, the section from Morecambe to Heysham is still open but de-electrified.
