Hi. I know the process has changed a lot since I applied so I won’t be much use unfortunately.

LNER can recruit quickly when they need to. I applied on the 13th Jan 2022 and had a job offer on the 24th Feb 2022 after completing interviews and psychometrics. I started on the 27th March 2022 so coming up to 4 years now.

ASLEF have just announced that the 5 day strike planned for 5th - 9th Feb has been cancelled. Reasons for the cancellation not yet know.

I was told by a person in HR involved in the recruitment. Things do change though and often quickly with recruitment but that’s what I was told. 1698743732 I was lead to believe it would be from the same pool of applicants as my previous post things do change.

I’m aware that DTM interviews have concluded at the moment with those successful having completed or due to complete psychometrics. There’s a course starting in January so they’re wanting to fill that course but then further interviews will be undertaken for other courses after that.
