Class 701 'Aventra' trains for South Western Railway: progress updates

Been away for a couple of weeks. Depressing to see Staines services consisting of just one 701 out of six services in a hour this morning. And the yellow line shouting at Clapham Junction is at ridiculous levels. Blood pressure restored to pre-holiday levels. I think I'll start an "everything...

    Senior railcard-a question.

I didn't get anything but perhaps freeloaders paying in Tesco points are in a different league?!

    Senior railcard-a question.

Set an alarm for a year's time ro remind you to renew, assuming it was a 1 year Railcard!!

Body worn video for MG11 reports

Because it now has the potential to be entirely faked. So what used to be credible evidence is no longer guaranteed to be so. The issue is nothing to do with other forms of evidence which haven't changed.

Body worn video for MG11 reports

No I'm saying courts will be unable to trust video evidence generally without a provenance trail.

Body worn video for MG11 reports

If video evidence is going to remain credible in a world of AI media manipulation then cameras are going to have to be replaced with ones supporting robust media authenticity marking such as C2PA.

Zip Oyster 5-11 & NR from TfL zone boundary

I find it mysterious how the TfL Ts & Cs page has been updated twice since this thread started and documents that didn't appear to be available before are now published, dated 2nd week in July.

Avanti take needless announcements to a new level

That's an additional reason that I consider train announcements at stations being overridden by inane housekeeping announcements as a breach of the Equality Act. Clapham Junction being a prime offender.

Class 701 'Aventra' trains for South Western Railway: progress updates

Fully understood, I just wanted to clarify to @Goldfish62 that the pain isn't shared! On a positive note, although the older stock has crap/no aircon, the SWR aural bombardment of BTP/fare dodging warnings is slightly more spaced out! 1785884939 Good point. I am curious as to why Readings...

Class 701 'Aventra' trains for South Western Railway: progress updates

What I mean is the 07:28 from Clapham Junction is never a 701, and neither of my regular return journeys are 701s either. So unless I miss a train, I'm stuck on the old crap week after week. Why can't we mix it up a bit? I know why, because it's easier for someone to copy/paste day after day...

16-17 Savers will no longer expire at 18th birthdays

Lol don't be silly, that would be an entirely sensible common sense approach. Sadly, it would involve RDG in getting their finger out and changing more than a sentence in some T's & C's. Welcome to Great More Complicated than Ever Railways :-)

16-17 Savers will no longer expire at 18th birthdays

No forever, because there's a 50% increase in the number of people who are entitled to use the card but who will have forgotten to buy one / left it at home / had it eaten by the dog, etc.

16-17 Savers will no longer expire at 18th birthdays

Cue a 50% incresse in 16-17 Railcard cases in the disputes section!

Class 701 'Aventra' trains for South Western Railway: progress updates

What about Reading services? I haven't been on a 701 in ages and most 450s appear to have crap or non-existent aircon. Why can't they swap them around so the pain is shared equally amongst all passengers?

    Kings Cross Platform Rules

That's exactly the problem. If staff pay was indexed to customer satisfaction the whole experience would be mysteriously transformed.
