    Heathrow to Colchester

That means I can use TfL Rail from Heathrow to Ealing Broadway, Central line to Stratford and GA to Shenfield for just £9.80? :o The only catch is that I can't stay on the train as I have to tap out. Right?

    Heathrow to Colchester

Is the GA train is included in the £9.80 option? So I'm not limited to tube and TfL rail to Shenfield?

    Heathrow to Colchester

I gave this a thought, but I don't like to wait an hour or so at LST. But I'll book an advance ticket if there's no other option. Weekday off peak, no railcard, no return, Oyster PAYG £25 sounds good. Especially as the journey planner suggests £56.80 (tbf it is a flexible ticket including...

    Heathrow to Colchester

All, what's the cheapest way to get from Heathrow airport to Colchester? I thought I'd take the tube to London Liverpool Street or Stratford (£3.10 off peak) and then the train to Colchester. IMHO the train tickets are rather expensive as I can't take an advance ticket as my flight might be...

    Advance tickets and connecting trains

I just collected the tickets. I somehow hoped that the ticket stated "& connections" or something like this. Nope, the 11:02 to Colchester is printed on the ticket. So I'm stuck to a specific train but have no reservation... :(

    Thornaby to London

OK, thanks. As you may have noticed English isn't my mother tongue ;). I meant I'm afraid that the LNER advance tickets will have been sold out (that cannot be right...lol) in the future without being able to get hold of one. But I think I'll just wait for the LNER tickets...

    Thornaby to London

Unfortunately not. "Advance tickets are generally not available earlier than 12 weeks before the date of travel."

    Thornaby to London

Dear all, I'd like to go from Thornaby or Stockton to London on Saturday, September 28th (morning). The cheapest ticket I find is £102.50 (advance). Wtf? Any suggestions how to get a cheaper ticket? The only option I see is going to York very early in the morning and then taking a coach to...

    Newcastle Airport to Whitby

Unfortunately I got second thoughts... If my flight is delayed there's a good chance not arriving into Whitby in time. So I'll rather fly to Manchester on Thursday, take the train to Scarborough and the bus to Whitby on Friday.
