Also there is no option to select your seat any more. The only positive is the price is still reasonable.

And if you do recline, the squab moves forward and you lose your legroom. Take a little cushion for the small of your back, or use your coat to fill the hole. And be prepared for the worst ride quality you've ever had on a train.

Maybe some sets are worse than others.

Hopefully they'll have to fix the damping before they shake themselves to bits.

The aircon is out of control. Cold air blows out of the vents below the window onto your neck. The coach is absolutely freezing after a few hours.

The seats do recline, sort of. Instead of the back going down, the squab moves forward, thereby reducing legroom by a vital few inches.

If there's no staff there no-one to stop you. (Not strictly true but humour me.)

More likely lack of staff. At least they're trying to warn people. Take a big picnic and have your own party in the lounge.

No lounge service either, due to 'staff sickness'.

Another fine run on the Pandemonium Sleeper. Due to impending power failure in the southbound Inverness seated coach, everyone moved to shared berths at Edinburgh.

Inverness Highlander southbound, no lounge staff so no food or drink.
