The southbound sleeper is more reliable (less unreliable?!?) than the northbound, which is logical as it’s at the start rather than end of its journey.

Presumably there’s also a need to synchronise the cctv to the barriers, especially at busy stations, if they’re wanting to use it as evidence in a court?
As well as reading the GWR prosecutions policy, it might be a good idea to search for other recent GWR cases on this forum, as it'll give you an idea (not guaranteed though) of how long they're taking to get in touch once they catch people.
I'm assuming you've been stopped by someone working for GWR.
If so, have a read of the prosecution policy on their website - they say they try and avoid prosecution wherever possible, and our experience is that this is indeed what happens

There are reasons supermarkets don’t stock many magazines - it’s a poor use of space, doesn’t make a lot of money for them as the margin is low, and there’s a lot of admin involved. On the plus side they’re generally sale or return
