In what way is it a mistake to travel to travel 55 miles on a ticket only valid for 1.5 miles? That's why you weren't offered a penalty fare.

I've had a bit of a read back through some posts, but I've got myself tied up in knots. Is there anyway round the fare trial now if you are doing Kings Cross <> Newcastle, especially in the morning peak Newcastle to London. Cheers.

I often think would it not be better all round in the summer for More to run an express service between Bournemouth<>Swanage, but the long way round. I know there is no quick way round anywhere in Dorset in the summer, but even so surely that is quicker than a non-priority bus ferry queue taking...

Have a butchers at West Coast's TripAdvisor, Google Reviews, Trustpilot etc, almost all of the complaints feature the use of "modern" mk2 carriages and not the mk1s (not that there is a massive time gap between the two mks being constructed!). And if they don't mention that, it's diesel...

Let's face it, only two airports actually are in London but there are plenty more that use London in their name. I was able to travel at 19 and buy the correct tickets, and that was 21 years ago (and was still distracted by headphones, music and phones then!) - the information available now...

Provided you can pay the penalty fare on the website of £24.60+£50 (or £100 if you've gone past 21 days), then I would and move on with your life. At the end of the day, you didn't have a ticket so let it be a relatively cheap lesson to you. Ignorance of the law is no defence, as they say, and...

Premier Inn Woolwich, 3-5min walk to the Lizzie line and has a car park outside the hotel.

Even though the ticket was bought within 1-2mins, the law is still you can't board the train without a valid ticket. There has to be some sort of line in the sand? It's almost impossible to board a bus or plane without buying a ticket, or go to the theatre or cinema without buying a ticket first...

Of course, one issue with the yellow route above is they've built a marina along that line. Plus I could never see anyone allowing a station to be built on the Rec.
