Hitchin to Farringdon with a Carnet

I'm in the same situation, I travel from Hitchin to Farringdon 2 or 3 times a week. I see all the different options for getting from St. Pancras to Farringdon, they've always been there. But its really frustrating to have to leave a train which is next stop my stop and will be there in 5 mins...
