175 reliability unsurprisingly a high priority according to Mark Hopwood on Radio Cornwall this morning. He can be heard between 10 and 11 a.m. on BBC Sounds if it's not been mentioned elsewhere. Starts ten minutes in.

Surprising that XC and Paddington trains are not serving Torre and Torquay yet, unless perhaps they can't use Goodrington sidings where they often rest up, They are very well used services especially around this date.

That'll be frustrating for punters waiting for a bus a stones throw from Paignton level crossing seeing trains run in and out.

Animals on the track was the announcement at Dawlish. I was lucky as my Tqy to Daw. and return trip ro the cycling GP was either side of incidents time-wise. I had wondered why I suddenly saw a plethora of trains passing by whilst there.

Ah thanks .I've not seen that, but those pax would not be barred from boarding that service would they and thus situations like yesterday will still arise.

Airlines get flack for overselling seats but I've never seen a train service show as being sold out.

It didn't affect me but 0900 Lds Ply missed Cheltenham and Bristol Parkway due to overcrowding. If I'd booked a seat from Cheltenham I would be raging....and worse. So someone is in my seat and I'm stuffed

At the risk of going off topic, I travelled to London and back yesterday and immediately thought that I'd lucked out regarding the bases. This morning was a different story and my back has never been as bad.....really.

A league table of a units passenger service appearances would make interesting reading.

Having leased these vehicles and them currently not being fit for purpose in many cases, is it a case of buyer beware or are there clauses within the contract to mitigate these matters?

Corrosion and spare parts aside these are great for me on the Devon Metro and Exeter to Waterloo services.

My room there had the largest bathroom I've seen, complete with roll top bath. Excellent choice.
