Which Preserved Railway Runs In Winter?

I'm not sure if the santa special is finished yet but the Isle of Wight steam railway was a great day out. We also took a passenger ferry to get across from Portsmouth harbor which has a rail link direct to the boats if you wanted to take that route. I'm not sure of the site but type it into google.

Overhead power pickup flashing in snow/ice???

My Dad currently has been assisting a train company using overhead lines and I have been told that the problem was down partly to shorting in the train between the overhead wire. There were other factors as well and they couldn't get a train out of the siding due to faulty point but... --- old...

    Needless Eurostar Chaos?

It seems a shame that despite experiencing similar problems with their trains and the weather last year that Eurostar have not thought to fix the problem and earn money. Oh well... --- old post above --- --- new post below --- Whilst i would agree with you on that, I don't think they do test...

    Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone. Thanks for the great card. Southwest trains should be running the 'proper' engine in this weather, they might actually work!!

Bachmann class 444: Do you want to see it?

I've found out that bachmann have bought out class 350 desiro model in three london liveries. Whilst not quite my favored livery, a step in the right direction! Also, aern't the class 350's generally five car trains? --- old post above --- --- new post below --- Oh and it's their first third...

    Bachmann Virgin Voyaguer Coupling

Bachmann do sell additional rods so when i lost some of mine i used these and they're pretty much the same. I went to my local model shop and they got some in stock for me! They must be pretty strong because my voyager is quite used and abused!! So far they have all remained very strong.

Bachmann class 444: Do you want to see it?

I agree there are many modern image layouts. Also, The trains above are the most seen and popular and would probably make the best on the market. Whilst the new Hornby Javelin is nice to look at, it's not really suited to any amateurs modern image layout. Mine is based in the south so would...

Bachmann class 444: Do you want to see it?

Ok I'm proving not to be very good at this sorry. I suppose above is right there is a greater market to older railways but there is no doubt there is a market for modern image like Stroley International which is a perfect example

Bachmann class 444: Do you want to see it?

:idea:At the moment, Bachmann have been focusing on their class 170's which is fair enough but i would really like to see some more modern and currently used trains like the desiro's around at the moment especially the class 444 in SWT livery and the class 375 in southern livery. I run a small...

    Your Bachman or Hornby wishlist

I would really like to see more modern south based trains and desiros. In particular: Class 450 in South West trains livery. You see these trains everywhere and a 5 car of this would be fantastic by Bachmann Also a class 444 in the same livery as a 5 car again. A class 377 in the Southern...
