Just something I made up a while ago.
The above would be the sort of route I would "follow". Essentially exactly the same as the proposed Chelsea > Hackney just extended out further.
With regards to services, again my preference, would be to operate in a similar fashion to Thameslink...
Just to clarify, I am aware its Express and thus non-stop. The routing listed above, I did not mean to stop at those stations, just to follow the track to those stations.
Using Google Earth ruler, via Herne Hill works out at around 14.2 miles and via Clapham at 14.3 miles. So practically the...
Just a quick question really.
At present, Gatwick Express uses 4 paths an hour running between East Croydon and Victoria via Clapham Junction. Is there an specific reason why the service is not re-routed to go from East Croydon via Crystal Palace, Tulse Hill, Herne Hill, Wandsworth Road then...
Ok Scandel, you got me on that, in the sense of I cannot be bothered to reply. I think we will have to agree to disagree on the point of global warming. We have strayed far from the original topic, so lets try and get back on it slightly. I did say I studied geography, and I have, but I did not...
We certainly employee far more people in manufacturing than I believed, hands up there. However I stand by my point, we do not manufacturing anything like we used to in the past. We are in a "Made in China" culture.
@jimm
On this point, I am assuming you are talking about easyJet. If this...
Okay, So I have compiled passenger data of scheduled flights from all UK airports that have scheduled flights to Heathrow and compared them to Amsterdam for the last 10 years (2002-2011). I have also included Dubai, with data from all UK destinations.
Top Left Graph 1, Top Right Graph 2...
IMO, that is a very narrow-minded way of looking at it.
Airport expansion is needed in the south-east, this is a fact. You state that bigger, more fuel efficient planes will be used in the future for air passenger routes, this is true with the introduction of the Airbus A380 and the Boeing...
Error on my part. But then you could argue that GatEx is the brand and the brand is what people see blah blah. Ok, that answers my question then.:)
With regards to this, where exactly is the issue on the line. Is it the 2-track section from South of Three Bridges, is it trains blocking paths...
Sure there is a perfectly good explanation for this, but why do GatEx not operate a service to LBG? Other than no/little capacity available, have they ever even attempted to start a service there. 2 Trains an hour to each Victoria and London Bridge would be better than 4 out of Victoria, no?
We are aware of an issue with emails from the Forum to Microsoft-based email accounts (hotmail/outlook/live.com email addresses). This is being looked into currently, thanks for your patience meanwhile.
