Sign language on train route information displays (and station departure boards)

See that sounds like a lot of money, but in reality it really isn't.

Getting passengers to spread out along the platform

I am a teacher and recently had to get a medium-sized group of kids off of the tube (by myself), which for safeguarding reasons involves counting them all off. The doors opened and a group of people were huddled around the doors without providing a clear exit route. I had a rare moment of...

SWR Class 458/4s: fleet status and withdrawal updates

How likely is it to see further 458 action from this point? Will they gradually wind down like the 455s after their last booked working, or will it be quite sporadic?

PCC-style trams remaining in service in (western) Europe.

Hoping for a little bit of insight into this. Whilst railway wikipedia is generally excellent, there is some conflicting information on this topic. I can remember getting on plenty of PCC trams the last time I visited Brussels in the late noughties. Obviously their numbers have dwindled...

    Electric trains using unelectrified track

That is really interesting, I was just in Paris 2 weeks ago, having a ride on the new cable car, and underneath us saw a TGV with both pantographs down and I thought I was just seeing things! Good to have this confirmed.

    Circle line to Barking?

So the issue is that the codes for the HSK - Barking trains are entrenched in the system as 'circle line' codes?

    1992 stock Refurbishment?

Yes although in the case of the 72 stock it has been rather unfortunately accompanied by an uptick in external graffiti! Poor bakerloo can't catch a break.

    1992 stock Refurbishment?

I'd suspect that this kind of attitude at TfL is a symptom of a wider problem, which is that they are effectively held to ransom by central government, being fed investment in little drips and drabs.

    1992 stock Refurbishment?

But there has been a lot of criticism directed towards the job itself, when actually the job itself has always had an extremely limited amount of money - it is much less about a refresh for the trains and more of a life extension. The simple answer as to why (largely) aesthetic issues (granted...

    1992 stock Refurbishment?

None of those things are a decision by TfL in any way.

    SWR 455 twilight diagrams/workings

I was on that, clocked it at 74mph through Earlsfield!

Will South London’s Covid cuts be reversed?

I will say that's one service that I don't know how we ever did without previously!!!

Will South London’s Covid cuts be reversed?

Most passengers from Hackbridge are going into London, and I'd argue these days with the Elizabeth line, it doesn't really matter which of the two London-bound trains you get...

Regular Thameslink disruptions over a week

Pie in the sky maybe, but not cancelling the same group of services every time there is disruption would be nice. Cancel some different ones from time to time as a first resort... it just doesn't seem fair that they and the three bridges services are always the first ones to go... I know it...
