    McGill’s Midland Bluebird

The other pain point is PlusBus zones. Bo'ness is in the Linlithgow zone, yet the more frequent (and Sunday) buses are via Falkirk. It's in a bit of an odd position McGill's fares wise due to where the boundaries are too which won't help. You need to use the all zone ticket to use the F45...

It's a temporary service change and not all temporary changes get through as a timetable update.

    East Anglia tips and tricks

When travelling north of Manningtree, splitting at Manningtree used to be a good splitting point, especially with the network rail card. (I haven't double checked to see if this is still the case but have no reason why it wouldn't be.) Network Railcard can't be used before 10am with some...

ScotRail - New app / website booking engine from 30 July 2026

I can get e-tickets with day returns for example for Camelon-Dundee with 2 splits if going via Stirling and Perth, though haven't gone through the full buying process. I'm wondering if the e-tickets option has been enabled in more places with the app change, as I've been trying more places and...

ScotRail - New app / website booking engine from 30 July 2026

If you are buying a return be careful as the first out bound journey you select if you want a single or return, and that option sticks to the single default rather than the cheaper return option. No option to change it when you select the return. If you aren't logged in you have to pick up...

ScotRail - New app / website booking engine from 30 July 2026

The password reset took a while to come through (up to an hour), so just be patient. Suspect there is a huge influx of password resets and they are queued up. 1785392496 The new app doesn't seem to do split tickets any more, also no later or earlier buttons for the train departure list, instead...

    PlusBus Tickets

Why can't we have a single barcode that covers the whole journey including out, return, covering all modes in the journey, this meaning that we passengers don't need to try and find the right barcode for each ticket part of the journey!

    Ember: Electric coach service

I'm wondering if the new service could be a useful link service to other Ember routes north connecting at the park and ride, especially with Ember now doing through ticketing.

    McGill’s Midland Bluebird

Wouldn't the depot closure mean that the vehicles would have significantly more dead run miles? Saturday 23rd May I was in Glasgow and got into Buchanan Street at 1910 missing both the last 72 and a X37 at 1900. The X36 didn't show up but around that time a Unilink branded bus on the X23...

Trivia: tickets that can *ONLY* be CCST

I suspect that was from the days of the separate guards van, however they have been phased out and you have the bike inside the main passenger carriage now.

Trivia: tickets that can *ONLY* be CCST

It's been a while since I've done a bike reservation in a train, but they've always required the ticket collection CCST stock in the past. Has that changed recently?

Are any fares available online only as e-tickets?

I've just checked in the ScotRail app and you can fulfill the flexi as mobile or Smartcard.

    PlusBus Tickets

I boarded the rattly single decker just before sending that message at Stirling station heading towards the university. I'm fairly certain it was the vehicle in the screenshot from the Midland Bluebird app (assuming is one of the two still on the route). 1780078393 1909 in the Unlink from...

    PlusBus Tickets

I've bought an ePlusbus ticket through the real-time trains site for Stirling and the barcode came up as not accepted for the Midland Bluebird Unlink service. The is no mention on https://www.plusbus.info/stirling the the Unlink isn't allowed. Ticketer ticket machines. Driver grudgingly allowed...

Greater Anglia Class 755s (Regional Trains)

Also worth noting that some wheelchairs have smaller wheels so will still need the ramp even with the small gap. Having a smaller ramp should in theory be fractionally quicker and easier to put down too. The faster speeds of getting on really helps many other groups too.
