Thanks. Well that's confusing, as I have entered Liverpool Street to Southend Victoria, it shows Liverpool Street to Southend Victoria, (as I want to break the journey on that route) but the Greater Anglia website also shows trains and prices to a different station that I haven't selected...
Saturday 26th April travel
Off-Peak day return £21.60
Super Off-peak day return £24.50
Now I always thought Super Off-Peak was cheaper than Off-Peak, as it was limited to weekend travel.
The information icon for Off-Peak states “Any Off-Peak train” but lists only times that require a change...
I seem to remember that as part of the franchise agreement EMR agreed to upgrade the Class 170‘s. Years later the work has progressed to computer generated images but when is the actual start and completion dates, as they have kept quiet on that point. Also there will be a seat reduction so more...
I bought a super off-peak day return from Luton Airport Parkway to Brighton at around 9am at the station. As I was making a day of it I first broke the journey in London then again in Gatwick. At around 12.15 I tried to board a train to Brighton to complete my journey but all the trains were...
Only 14.2% of airport passengers are using the Dart since it opened in March. The shuttle bus, which the Dart replaced carried 18%. The original target was around 32%, except I can’t find that document anymore.
After getting my 3 year senior railcard for only £56 I intend to start making a few more train trips around the U.K. I believe not all rail operator apps or websites give the option of downloading e-tickets to apple wallet. Anyone got a recommendation for a company that combines simple ticket...
Be grateful for a narrow covered walkway. Those walking from the car drop off area have no cover until they pass the Dart station.
If Terminal 2 is ever built the tunnel will need a major extension with a sharp left turn with all the winding gear needing moving half a mile and new longer...
The planned public access by road to the Dart forecourt is no more with the entrance controlled by barriers for taxis only and backup buses in case of Dart failure.
The principal reason for the £4.90 single, £9.80 return ticket price is that the final cost of the Dart will be around £300m...
£2.10+£4.90= £7.00 so i would say it isn’t.
There are plenty of people who buy tickets to Parkway and not their intended destination, which is the airport, as I see them queuing by the Dart ticket machines.
On and the staff at the terminal selling railway tickets in high viz jackets work for...
The shuttle bus was run by Thameslink while the Dart is run by the council via its airport company Luton Rising, so is not part of the rail network.

The last Thameslink shuttle buses shown last night with a 23.59 departure.
Yes it is unless you are a local who can apply for a half price Dart ticket or any pensioner with a bus pass who also needs to register for free tickets. In those cases passengers would buy tickets to and from Parkway and not the airport. How any pensioner is meant to know this is a mystery...
