    Interrail Passes

Yes, it's sorted now. The number was on the back of the glossy ticket holder, the number on the paper ticket itself wasn't the one.

    Interrail Passes

Realised one of the numbers I have has an E in front of it, tried that, nope. Tried the interrail.eu chatbot and none of the numbers I have worked, nothing on the tickets, order id. I found the login for myinterrail.co.uk hidden away via google (not on their front page weirdly), and it only...

    Interrail Passes

I did say 'I' the letter in that post. And yeah, none of this is matching up with the interrail.eu website, the number on the back doesn't have an I in front of it, and there's no QR code. Starting to think I'd be laughed when trying to use this ticket in real life...

    Interrail Passes

There is no number starting with an I absolutely anywhere on the printed paper ticket. Next stage is to try and maybe create an interrail account and see if they say it on that. But without the pass number, I suspect I won't have the tickets. I thought I had created an interrail account when I...

    Interrail Passes

Just trying to book the eurostar reservations of the rail europe website, got the paper ticket and it says "pass not valid" for all the numbers I've got on the ticket. The most likely one I thought would be the one on it back. It's unique among the two tickets, but neither provided to the...

    Interrail Passes

Ok, so I'm new to this, so correct me if I'm wrong... But the Bradford to London section would be covered by the pass unless you're travelling on a different day wouldn't it? (I'm asking because I was planning to do that from wolves on a 1st class 4 dayer in July). 1748684588 As above, I've...

Avanti ticket sales suspension - Making users think it isn't possible to travel.

Ah thanks, reading the headline, and then missing the vital bits :)

Avanti ticket sales suspension - Making users think it isn't possible to travel.

BBC is reporting avanti ticket sales are suspended for a month today, I came on here to see what the thoughts are with this, and the practicalities of this (can I book an off-peak return from Wolverhampton to Glasgow via cross country, for instance). I'm not completely sure this news was clear...

Eurostar: Juxtaposed Controls, Customs, Regulation from 01/01/2021

I don't know where the minor stations did it, it used to be the case back around Waterloo when I started using it regularly in 2001. I remember Belgian passport control at the end of the platform in Brussels. That might even not have been true when I stopped being a regular end of 2003, it's a...

Eurostar: Juxtaposed Controls, Customs, Regulation from 01/01/2021

Doesn't the treaty (if you are referring Le Toquet) refer to foreign passport control operating inside another country? If it that didn't work, it could easily work with the passport control on the far end, it does not stop people entering the Schengen area. There appears to be two different...

Eurostar: Juxtaposed Controls, Customs, Regulation from 01/01/2021

I did regularly travel between Waterloo and Brussels about 2001-2003 , so I remember the old checks as they used go. I don't remember Belgium ever checking anything, I got pulled over and luggage rifled on the way into Waterloo about four times, and when there was a presence it was with sniffer...

Eurostar: Juxtaposed Controls, Customs, Regulation from 01/01/2021

I didn't realise that is what it covered. I've been keeping away from the consequences of Brexit. Though to be fair, UK has recently decided to renage on agreements, so it all could be up in the air.

Eurostar: Juxtaposed Controls, Customs, Regulation from 01/01/2021

I think you might be making an assumption here. Some sort of agreement either between UK and EU, or Belgium and France, is probably needed for this arrangement to continue. I suspect there will be no Schengen area in the UK anymore, it needs at least goodwill and probably more.

    Virgin Traveller

Recently got the details from virgin, the qualification terms are the same as they used to be, over 70 quid for advance first single and 100 quid anytime first return or 50 quid anytime first single. Need 16 legs in 90 days.

    Virgin Traveller

Well, I requalified in the in between bit, I started travelling to london just as the franchise was given to First Group, but I knew the previous qualifying criteria (75 pounds min per leg of journey, 3 calender months, 16 legs) and did the qualifying anyway, just as a completely optimistic...
