Virgin Trains TM said 'change at Wigan for Chester'

Virgin Trains TM said 'change at Wigan for Chester'

Once is a mistake indeed but the TM made the wrong announcement twice with his misinformation. And I did not miss-hear the Manchester announcement! After all, you can get to Manchester from Wigan NW via 2 lines, 1 Via Bolton no less. So maybe not the end of the world to you...

Virgin Trains TM said 'change at Wigan for Chester'

. On my way back from Blackpool North and boarded the very slightly delayed 11:52am @ Preston to London Euston to travel to Warrington BQ for my connection back to Chester. As the train left Preston, the TM announced Wigan NW as next stop and instructed passengers to alight for connections...

Radio Stations: Which one(s) do you listen to?

In the days of John Peel...

What made you join the forum?

Funny enough I first searched for a rail forum to post a message to thank a member of rail staff of a particular T.O.C that is familiar with Pacers. My dear old Grandmother (R.I.P) at that time required wheelchair assistance for long day trips out and it was on one of these trips to Blackpool...

    Famous people on trains

If anyone is aware of any of the featured people on any of the seasons of the C4 Show, 'The Undateables' (Me, embarrassingly...). A few weeks ago whilst walking in the direction of platforms 13 & 14, I saw Steve, who has Crouzon syndrome and was featured in Episode 2 of S1 with his Mrs, who he...

Fiding humour in other people's misfortunes

I remember as a small child as being on a Merseyrail service up to Southport on a day out when an elderly gent got on at Formby from a trip to a Tesco's. He alighted at Ainsdale, he remembered he had forgotten his hat and attempted to get back on bored as the doors closed and became trapped...
