    Manchester United Regeneration Scheme

Spot on, especially the latter point. Given there's already three tram stops with 25 trams per hour into the city centre within 10 mins walking distance, surely better to enhance Metrolink capacity rather than trying to solve Manchester's rail network issues? Aside from rail based solutions...

    Manchester United Regeneration Scheme

Correct. The very vast majority of demand pre and post game or event will be to/from or via the City Centre. There isn't capacity to run anything additional via Castlefield, therefore the primary public transport mix will remain as at present, i.e. tram and bus.

    Old Trafford freight relocation

Because Port Salford is also being discussed as part of the "solution" to the continuing existence of the Trafford Park terminal(s). The all-day Wigan NW-Manchester Vic-(elsewhere) services also reduce the opportunity to flex your way around timetabling access and egress to Parkside

    Old Trafford freight relocation

Plan is for this peak only to go hourly all day to serve Golborne. Sorting this out has been one of the major delays in getting it approved. Obviously 1tph serving Golborne all day doesn't help the operational case for Port Salford or Parkside (also GM mayoral priorities)

    Old Trafford freight relocation

You'd like to think so, but you'd also be sadly mistaken. Politics comes first with these sorts of things. Further (regurgitated PR) details about the MUFC Old Trafford plans here: https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater-manchester-news/manchester-united-new-stadium-trafford-31173378

Drax Output to be Reduced after 2027

Paths≠trains run, which is a (the?) significant factor in overall network performance as per Chester1's point.

Manchester Oxford Road Station Remodelling Scheme consultation: what do you think should happen?

What happens on Sunday mornings isn't really indicative of what can be relied upon to be delivered Mon-Sat. I suspect the FOCs would get very upset if you were dumping 2x158s.in their glorified headshunt every time an EMR presents 30 odd mis late at Slade Lane

TFGM press release: Mayor Andy Burnham reveals plans for Bee Network rail to boost passenger numbers and drive Greater Manchester’s growth

Let's wait and see on that front. The Elizabeth line arrangement suits both parties (non Tfl authorities and TfL). Key difference up north is that major uplifts in service quality are at best, a decade away, and non-metropolitan authorities also already have a theoretical input into how their...

Manchester Oxford Road Station Remodelling Scheme consultation: what do you think should happen?

This. Basically the issue is finding a platform in the shed on an ad hoc basis that doesn't muck everything else up. Hence spin back south/east at Sheffield. You're correct, the "plan" is just for Freightliner to bail on Trafford Park. Not seen anything about Maritime or the Euro terminal...

Manchester Oxford Road Station Remodelling Scheme consultation: what do you think should happen?

Suggestion is that you regulate elsewhere where you can, e.g. Eccles, Bolton, Crescent. Not in the middle of town. Although of course that ends up with (for example) EMR pulling late running Norwich-Liverpools at Sheffield as there's nowhere further west to turn them. Building business cases...

TFGM press release: Mayor Andy Burnham reveals plans for Bee Network rail to boost passenger numbers and drive Greater Manchester’s growth

There's already a wide range of discounted multimodal fares out there. Pushing these harder might be a good start. However worthwhile bearing in mind the market for multimodal is low with only 1 in 10 journeys on public transport using more than one mode in England outside of London. That's not...

    Passenger loadings UK

Apologies, you're absolutely correct here and I'd totally forgotten about NR's MOIRA based loadings exercise which this data clearly is. My apologies. So interesting academic exercise, but effectively meaningless outside of the original context. To be honest I was a bit surprised that the Green...

    Passenger loadings UK

And if my assumptions are correct as to the source, this dataset has been used by parts of the industry as a relatively unquestioned source of information for quite a few years :D:D:D

    Passenger loadings UK

I'd keep it up, but just heavily caveat it. Which is really what the data owner (I presumed DfT, but you mentioned Network Rail) should have done before release - not your fault! Keep up the good work!
