I believe there are now posters up in first class advising on the upgrade and the use of First Class if you hold a season ticket. However the season ticket must be a monthly, 3 monthly or annual season ticket. A weekly ticket holder must pay the £6 upgrade.

These fares have now been removed from the system so you cannot purchase them from any ticket outlet e.g. Online/Ticket Office/On Board XC Trains. But I wouldn't rule out the return of these tickets later on.
