Basically this, if your booked spare for the week (remembering we do up to 7 days rostered on the trot on some lines in the link) you can and will be constant minimum rest time going from lates to earlies visa versus where allowed.
A lot of people just see the money on the east coast. Our T&C’s...
At KX we do -
Sundays inside.
Regular nights. (usually can be swapped for those who like nights)
Spare movements are unlike any other depot, can be a bit brutal.
We have 3 full-time links and some part-time, but you will go into the spare link on passing out until a space arises in link 2...
To be honest you aren't exactly coming across as a person who's worked in a "High profile organisation".
Sounds like you've been knocked back from a job due to GTR OH taking into consideration your mental health state. Not sure what job you have applied for, but if it's anything safety-critical...
Anyone actually in this role currently? Would love the insight of day to day workings. I know it's similar to a MOM but interested in the differences and if there is cross working with MOM's or it's strictly based on the TFL side of the network I.e the central section...
Unless they state they will acknowledge your documents being received, I don't really think there's any need for you to contact them. You have to remember the amount of campaigns TFL run at one time, their HR is always swamped (having previously worked for TFL I can confirm they are always busy)...
If your a trainee - go wherever to get your key.
Qualified then yeah I’d go for LNER. Someone mentioned above about joining LNER for T&C’s, which isn’t really accurate though.
Yes we do get paid a lot compared to other Toc’s but in comparison our T&C’s aren’t great compared to some other Tocs.
Why would you pay for it out of your own pocket when every TOC is going to put you through it anyways?
They won’t be “wow’d” by the fact you’ve paid privately and if you unfortunately fail you’ve just paid to fail something that could of been free?
At KGX most days off is 6, you do currently get a SUD then 6 off and SUDs are done on the iPad at home at the moment so I guess you could call that 7.
Leave is 1 week early winter, 3 weeks summer and 1 week late winter with 9 ad hoc. Summer leave starts as early as April and latest end of...
Link 2 is the main link - earliest book on about 0525, few jobs that book off around midnight. Lots of weekend work sundays are in.
There’s also regular nights of 4-5 shifts, usually ECS moves to and from Bounds Green and depot work.
Two types of traction - however I’ve heard all new...
What's your real reasons for wanting to move? Money or do you genuinley have a passion to drive under NR rules?
You've probably got better T&C's and rest day pattern at LU, Sundays are in with ARL, you've probably got similar amount of stops per day. I cant comment on what the DTM's are like at...
Your cousin may shunt them on and off the depot but he certainly doesn’t drive them if he works for northern.
Also “Azuma” is a brand name given to LNER class 8xx’s, it doesn’t apply to other TOC’s.
So please, before you post these bold claims, best to make sure you know your railway...
Hence I asked what TOC he worked for - just another fantasist in his own world.
Would have better luck just saying he wants a manual for his own interest.
