Does First Bus want any customers? The N1 Newquay NightBus, discussed on this site several days ago, is still not mentioned on the First Kernow site, just three days before the service starts.
Yes. It recalls the bad old days 15-20 years ago when there were late services to Tregustick campsite for all those stags and hens that have mostly gone elsewhere (like Bath, apparently!). Newquay is a different and better place now, and the new N1 runs later than the Tregustick service, with a...
Sorry. I am being mischievous about a typo. More to the point, a single timetable book for TfC is an excellent idea, along with the £5 'go anywhere' ticket.
I confess I hadn't thought of 95/89. The problem is surely that it's rather high risk. After all there were many reports of the 95 and 93 failing to connect, but at least the 93 was hourly. Going via Newquay will certainly take longer but there are plenty of Truro connections when you get there...
All the timetables are there. On the opening page ignore Plan a Journey: instead click on the Route Timetables link. Put the name of the town you want (third box down) and press Submit.
In fact the new ones are there with the date 04.09.22 in brackets. But I wouldn't use GoCornwall as a search...
It is a fair point. At least going to Newquay gives you a wide choice of frequent buses to Truro (five buses an hour in the day, I think). The other route would be 10 to Bodmin Parkway (twice an hour) and then train to Truro. The disadvantages of that are a higher price when compared with the...
Another one not yet mentioned is the separation of evening services on the 93. This is faster from Newquay to Truro because it now omits St Columb Major as has been said but also Indian Queens and Fraddon. In the evenings though there is a new 93E which includes Indian Queens and Fraddon (but...
But did many people from Bude go shopping in Truro, even when the 95 ran directly? Plymouth is almost an hour nearer to Bude on the 12. Have to confess I am not sure about Bude-Newquay either. If you want gorgeous coastline and beaches Bude is close to those anyway. I suppose the intermediate...
The 95/93 connection at St Columb Major plainly isn't working. From 4 September the 95 is extended to/from Newquay. That leaves passengers from Truro in the cold though. Other changes include the 21 and 25 swapping back to their previous routes through the Newquay suburbs (21 via St Columb Minor...
