Some services and other operators are already using QS and bypassing GS. It's not an ideal situation as it is, without then adding all of the other buses down there too
I think the point being made was that even if they can't board, they would see a coach coming along the road and might have a look online to see what it is and where it goes.
If you can't see something exists, you're not going to know it might be of use to you
A lot of the time if luggage can't be accommodated then it means the passengers can't be either, and they get left behind for the next bus.
If they're serious about their belief that the 100 is a premium express airport service, then they have to have better luggage areas. That doesn't...
Delays and bunching generally come about due to roadworks and congestion, which Lothian can hardly be blamed for. Last week for example, the Corstorphine corridor had severe delays for a couple of days as a result of 4 way temporary lights at Murrayfield.
There's only so much that drivers...
Many of the capacity issues are a result of the luggage racks and when drivers report a failure to uplift, control are in the habit of asking if it's due to luggage. It is not unusual at busy times for ticket sellers at the airport to be heard asking anyone without luggage to come to the front...
Perhaps a Friday could be considered the best time to announce it. Let any change associated rage die down slightly over the weekend, then the customer services/social media can come back on Monday and respond to the angry people who have hopefully had a bit of time to calm down
In my experience, if a passengers wants to know why something is late then they'll ask or make a comment when boarding.
If an incident has stopped traffic in front of us and I can see what the problem is, I might make a short announcement for those who can't see and are wondering why we're not...
There are rush buses in the morning and afternoon on a variety of services to help cope with the added demands of schools and general commuters. However, I'm not aware if the 24 is one of those routes
It has definitely gone, much to the surprise of some of their passengers. I have it on good authority that a number of Lothian staff have been approached by passengers with Bright Bus returns, who didn't know the service was being withdrawn
I don't think it's difficult to see what the complaint is at all.
As mentioned above, unless you're in the know, you're going to head to the Bright Bus website rather than a McGills one. In addition to the lack of information on that site, I can't see any mention at all of their withdrawal on...
You're right that very few will lose sleep over it. However, it's not very fair on passengers who have return tickets for AirX, who intend on making their return journey after the 14th and could find themselves waiting on a bus that simply isn't coming.
Have their ticket sellers in the last few...
In theory this is possible, but fares would dictate a lot of this. While the train is undeniably quicker, the bus would definitely have an appeal for those who wanted to spend less and weren't so fussed about the journey time
