I suspect this gourock Leicester working was over the sc and m/c portion detached at skipton (the main train continuing via Leeds sheffield to leicester)the line from skipton to colne still open in1964 .not an outward tour to scotland but a return working.

I recall a TV program in the mid 50s reporting the Modernisation program and it reported that the end of steam would be 30 years however 13 years later all gone.
According to a copy of locos arriving on shed that I have from Patricroft station signalbox, 70013 arrived on shed 11.45hrs 29/12/67,it would depart from shed via Patricroft sdgs S/box approx 17.10hrs to Ordsall Lane Carriage sdgs to attach to York train set.
October 2014 you posted about having detailed maps of M/c Ship canal system,is it possible you still have them could you have look for Lords sdg's I have never been able to find anything I suspest it was around weaste/Salford area.Thanks
