Our new ticketing site is now live! Using either this or the original site (both powered by TrainSplit) helps support the running of the forum with every ticket purchase! Find out more and ask any questions/give us feedback in this thread!
Indeed. But National Rail's own website shows the easements just fine (in text form) here: https://www.nationalrail.co.uk/ticket-types/validity/xz/ - and obviously that's an official data source.
It's probably worth us querying the lack of electronic data to back up the easements with the data...
The restriction code XZ doesn't have electronic definitions for those easements, so no ticket site will allow them. See https://www.brfares.com/!faredetail?orig=BHM&dest=CNM&grpo=0418&tkt=SVR
Unless they are published in the data, journey planners can't do anything.
Vauxhall to Brixton doesn't have an Underground fixed link defined in the data, so it'll never find it. It does its best to find a route using National Rail. Journey planners can only work with whatever data National Rail supplies.
We do have a TFL timetable module (using TFL open data) which...
Agreed. The main reason we put this option in was because it's often cheaper to split journeys each side of London, and that would result in a U12 type paper ticket to cross London, which is outrageously expensive. Instead you can use Oyster/contactless at a much cheaper rate and just pay the...
In my experience, the staff at some stations will deny that Delay Repay is payable in these circumstances, but it definitely is, so ignore them. There was one incident at Newport where I had to recommend to my fellow travellers that they go ahead and claim anyway despite the almost authoritarian...
What sort of freedom pass do you have please?
Edit: I should have read the original post properly! Because we can't provide a "free" itinerary, there's no way to encode a mixture of free and chargeable itineraries. The system assumes you want to use a free train and so doesn't want to sell you...
Dartford fails the routeing point check for the return journey. So you need to split tickets to go that way. It looks like the only destination routeing points are Slade Green and Hither Green. You're correct that GWR are offering it, and I don't immediately see why - it looks like it's not valid.
If you find any such combinations, please report them (in this thread https://www.railforums.co.uk/threads/introducing-railuk-tickets-support-the-forum-when-booking-your-rail-tickets.236796/) and the relevant people will see them and can make adjustments. Unfortunately, the current industry...
We can faciliate it at our end, but the issue is one of customer service. There would be customers that book at a higher price when a lower one becomes available later. I'm sure the relevant people are watching, if anyone has any ideas.
It was a licence key expiring, with no warning or communication of any sort from the vendor, and despite the bill having been paid properly. We fixed it quite quickly. Suffice to say, we are migrating away from that vendor.
We are aware of an issue with emails from the Forum to Microsoft-based email accounts (hotmail/outlook/live.com email addresses). This is being looked into currently, thanks for your patience meanwhile.
