    Go North East

I'd be sad to see it go as well. I worked out of there from 1983 to 1991/2. My dad started there in 1946 & stayed until he retired in 1979/80.

Ever had an accident on a bus?

3 that spring to mind 1 - travelling back from South Shields to Sacriston followed a car near Boldon Coliery when it started to sleet. Driver decided to brake and bus went into back of car. I was most concerned about the driver as she was a whiter shade of pale. Seemingly she had just picked...

Ever had an accident on a bus?

I know not correct these days but there was always a set of white teeth that smiled as you went past.

Daughter Has Been Fined at Magistrates Court Without Knowing

One further thing of note is that in cases like this it may have come to light sooner in normal circumstances as unpaid Court fines are referred for Enforcement. Fortunately Enforcement is on hold for now but Bailiffs will be back knocking on doors etc as from August 24 - next Monday...

    Lowest capacity service bus?

Could the old postbuses be considered for this: https://www.messynessychic.com/2018/02/02/oh-to-have-ridden-englands-forgotten-post-bus/ https://www.scotsman.com/news/transport/last-postbus-reaches-end-road-1442044

    Could SailRail become popular again?.

If promoted better then no reason why not. There are also quite a few like myself who now cannot fly for medical reasons. I have a few plans to travel when it is safe, some using just the train (Eurostar) and others the ferry - have a plan to do train to Plymouth/Portsmouth & ferry to...

    Statute barred penalty fare?

Then of course you refer them to Arkell v Pressdram.

    Statute barred penalty fare?

Doesn't matter if it is SB it cannot start the clock ticking again. They can keep asking nicely but best response is to write back and advise it is SB and any future correspondence would be treated as harrasment - Ferguson v British Gas is the one to quote.

    Statute barred penalty fare?

To me the letter is mixed up as Notice of Intended Prosecution does indeed refer to a criminal prosecution but they then go on to say it may affect your Credit Rating which is to do to with Civil Debts if they obtain a CCJ. One question to ask has the OP moved address since 2014? Otherwise I...

    Fastest double decker?

Reminds me of one frosty early morning when there were a line of Nationals all frozen up from the depot in Picktree Lane to Front Street Chester le Street (think the Chronicle had a picture), another time had one freeze on me halfway across the roundabout at the bottom of Jackson Street in...

Your longest time spent on a bus or coach?

I used to do the 722/723 service back in the 80's mostly done then with Bristols. Popular shift if I remember rightly was 2 x Newcastle & 1 Darlington. Another was Darlington & back, then bait time picking the bus back up to go back to a round trip to Darlington.
