Does anyone know if the return fares to Edinburgh Airport are flexible in terms of time? I’ve got a flight next Monday, and in the past I tended to use Ember as they were significantly cheaper but now the Fly coach is almost identical in price.
I obviously would prefer to book a coach to make...
Due to there being no station nearby CitylinkAIR coach service from the airport to Buchanan Bus Station is probably the best transport for getting from Edinburgh Airport to Glasgow
Multitude of reasons for Dundee yesterday. Their fans have been unhappy with their manager ever since he was appointed in the summer, and had only won one game before yesterday so a win seemed almost unthinkable. They also have a horrendous record against Celtic. Yesterday was their first home...
If you look back far enough on this thread or the news section on their website you’ll find Ember state quite openly that they raised onboard fares because of concession repayment levels. They also say they would rather keep it at more realistic levels, but by doing that currently they were just...
That’s kind of the point I was getting at. For issues like this, where no MP has been elected with a certain viewpoint in their manifesto, we just have to let them vote on it and hope they come to an appropriate conclusion. As you say, it’s not entirely satisfactory - but short of holding a...
Is it that simple though? In any given constituency there will be people who support and oppose this bill, so it will be impossible for an MP to truly represent the views of all their constituents. They will have to make a decision either way that inevitably some will disagree with.
Wow - 20 years is an impressive length of time. I don’t manage to post as much now as I used to previously, but I still enjoy a regular read of the forum when I can.
East Kilbride seems a decent shout in Scotland. According to Wikipedias list of Scottish places by population only the big cities and Paisley are larger.

Last 113 to Edinburgh passes through Tranent at 23:30 so there’s still services late at night

I understand the point you are making but you do realise Wallyford has the train as well ;)
One of the comments in the Facebook post linked above asks about Inverness, and Ember reply “You won’t be disappointed”. It’s not official confirmation but it does seem Inverness is on the way at some point as well. (Attached is a screenshot of the Facebook comment referenced above)
ATC is nowhere near an area of expertise for me, but from what I do know I would tend to agree with this. I know of someone on another forum I’m on who used to work as a controller in the US and the example shift pattern he posted once was horrendous - especially for a role as mentally demanding...
I’ve just deleted the Twitter app off my phone this week and it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made in a long time. I was wasting far too much time on it and more recently it was getting far too toxic for my liking. I’m still on Facebook (mainly for parkrun information) and Instagram (to keep...
I take my hat off to those who deal with passengers daily. Despite the Scotrail tweet explicitly announcing service cancellations everywhere for tomorrow the first comment says “No service to Kilwinning?”.
