Am on the reserve list mate been on it for 14 months now
...the computer tests are easy and don't worry about the mmi interview at the end it's easy and very informal ..the questions you answered earlier on the assessement day I think there was seven or six...they ask you to explain that...so...
Yeah that's a sore one ...can't be easy trying to get used to that especially with different start/finish times...it's a great job and a fantastic career but your certainly working for your money .
As what link1driver has stated it's not a 4 day working week...
Skinnydave you seem to get your back up when I've clearly stated facts which by the way went into far more detail but they have been removed from the thread..after they have been reported !!!!
Strange that ...
Am not saying it's...
Your spot on gadgetman total agree with you there.
On the Scotrail shift patteren the Sunday that they class as a day off is the finishing late shift on the sat evening then early shift on the Monday morning..
That's a Jammie day in the house to let your body adjust ..
So I wouldn't even...
THANK YOU COMUTOR....
This is what I was trying to say in other threads that I posted on this post as they seem to think they are in a four day week every week!!...(before they complained and I got them deleted )
My point was that's not the case as on Scotrail you have 17 enforced Sunday...
The shift patteren looks mince when the forced Sunday is put on you especially when it's a early am finish on a sat and late on the Monday ..what's that all about..
Apart from a wed thurs off one week you must be chasing your 5 days off all the time
Suppose it's better than Monday to Friday...
Am I right to suggest that there is talks with the union to put Scotrail drivers on a new shift patteren by April 2017 (was this part of the last pay deal)?
Currently drivers work a seven day week to cover the Sunday's as overtime
17 Sunday's enforced overtime shifts per year !!
17...
Some people might already have a better job hence why they are asking these questions so they can weight up their options. So many people up their own backside on these forms !!!
Does anybody know the salary once qualified as a virgin train driver ??
