    Heritage railways: patronage trends 2025

I am assuming it is because the regular timetable only has one diesel hauled train a day; alongside two steam hauled trains and two trains formed of a DMU.

    Bluebell Railway timetable

Almost. Not Stepney, but Fenchurch. Stepney is awaiting overhaul.

    May 2019 timetable changes

Putting financials aside, these improvements probably require capacity at Liverpool Street that Crossrail will provide. Until Crossrail opens I cannot see any improvements.

    Scotrail Class 385 Discussion

Another option might be 5x23 units. Would have more space as you only have 2 cabs not 4 and only need 1 accessible loo instead of 2 and still fit in the exisiting platforms. "No new DMU orders in CP5"

Therefore 48 2 car Class 156 units to be displaced would seem reasonable...

"No new DMU orders in CP5"

Whilst there is no doubt a short term lack of capacity in terms of DMUs available I do think that over the next 5 years the situation will improve year on year as electrification schemes are completed and cascades happen. There will also be enough units displaced to allow for the scrapping of...

What stock "should" operate Liverpool-Norwich services?

I travel on this route a few times a year and I think that the current Class 158s are spot on, except for a lack of luggage racks. Leaving Norwich the trains are typically have about 90% of their seats taken so capacity is OK. I've travelled as far as Nottingham from Norwich on this route and...
