From my perspective, as a regular user of Capenhurst, we actually enjoyed an enhanced service of "VSTP" services in Saturday — 4tph with extended dwells at Chester to absorb any slight delays.
Rock Ferry, with the bays being 3/4 and through platforms 1/2, and marginally further away from the entrance. I'm not sure what the platform numbers were when the other set of through lines were in use. Electrification was also a significant factor in platform utilisation at RFY as well of course.
Delays are attributed to the root cause, so lots of cancellations/delays attributed to traction failures will be relating to 88009 and not the units on the services in question. I think.
1Y22 has just gone past Camden CSD going into Euston. Looking at the diagrams a route has been set into P14 also. Several "BLOK" descriptions have also disappeared from just outside Euston.

And at 1136 1A12 passed Camden into Euston, so at least one of the main lines is open now.
Hello, I haven't been following the 222s progress so I'm not aware of any numbers or context but I did spot this 222 (?) vehicle on a low loader outside Widnes Transport Tech when going past at 1300 today.
Good evening, can anyone advise the ID of the grey 08 currently at Garston Car Terminal?
08580 was there for a while and has since gone, 08706 in faded EWS is also there but I can't find anything about the plain grey one.
Any information appreciated, thanks!
And NBN/WKI to remain booked 507/8s, so all bashing can be confined to 3 lines.
Perhaps this is to keep the miles down on the old units - some of the NBN and WKI unit diagrams (info correct when I did some deep research into them in April 2021) are 50-100 miles shorter than CTR/ELP diagrams -...
508124 and 508125 have now departed for Newport. Also of note, 507028 was working the Kirkby services at lunchtime today, can't be long left for the old stock on that route.
All too easy to just cancel everything these days and not even try. As if rail travel is optional for everyone, not taking into account the people who have real jobs, don't work 9-5 and can't work from home because they use their practical skills.
According to Merseytravel Headbolt Lane will be open on Thursday 5th. So the 777/1s should be in service very soon.
Next Stop: Headbolt Lane – £80m station served by UK’s first battery powered trains to open this week
