Hmm, I find it rather strange that what with 11 to 12 (IIRC) having seen thier first passenger use(s), that such a modest number are being used.
With the cascades out of TL won't all those fully tested for passenger use have to be used.

Yes I do 100% agree with you. All the political nonsense ultimately harms the railway and its users. I suppose both Richard Branson and DaFT on some level need to grow up a bit and see the bigger picture.

Personally I'd love to see a 317,319,313,321 or another EMU from that era such as 456, 455, 508,365,465 or what have you see preservation one day. This is the era I'm into. I don't really know the availability of electrification of a preserved railway so a 150 would probably be the best DMU...
