I hear its put back with work for a week 25thMarch 2017 Wxm to Ctr on commissioning the crossings and a further closure 8-10th April Shrewsbury to Gobowen.
So the press now report the work may be delayed until the spring. How can it be just last month it was announced it was to be completed by the end of November and suddenly it's another 6 months????
Looking the section yesterday there seems an enormous amount of work still to be done at the level crossings. And I think they said at their drop in meetings handed over by 23rd Novmber. Now that will be very interesting to see.
Whats the latest on the completion of this. I see the section Chester-Wrexham is closed next week for level crossing work but I hear its completion going to seriously overrun. Any one else heard that?
I couldn't agree more. Sold out in two days with very little advance publicity. People who travelled on it I've spoken to (okay they were in 1st class) report an excellent journey even though rerouted through Crewe.
Steward was very busy but very effiecient and attentive. They were impressed...
The viaduct is reduced to 20mph running. The times on National Rail are not correct - they are still using the bus times as it was anticipated that the line would be closed until 18th.
Yesterday most train services ran to their usual scheduled times along the route.
