UK switching to electric vehicles discussion

Exactly what happens at my local Lidls. Both have chargers near the car park entrance. At one the charges are the furthest spaces from the shop and are only ever used for charging. At the other they are some of the closest to the shop and are frequently missed.

The electric version of the Ford Puma has a larger boot than the petrol version, as well as adding storage space under the bonnet.

    PlusBus Tickets

Used Plusbus in Plymouth yesterday, showing tickets using the Trainsplit app after buying from the forum site. The Stagecoach driver studied the tickets in detail before letting us on, no scan required. Of 3 Plymouth Bus journeys, 2 drivers looked at the tickets whilst the 3rd asked us to scan...

    Supermarkets discussion

For the first time in weeks I have the Lidl Happy Hour bakery discount available in the app again. Hopefully they have decided that removing it was a bad idea.

I don't have a home charger, the vast majority of my electricity has come from a work place charger. If I need any extra I try and use be.ev now as they only cost 39p/kWh between 7pm and 7am on their fast chargers without membership.

Crown Point Open Day - Ticket link not working?

100% agree. All the Greater Anglia and Stadler staff we spoke to were very helpful and enthusiastic about their jobs. My 10 year daughter says she wants to be a train driver, and the lady in the driving cab only reinforced that dream by the way she explained everything about driving the train...

UK switching to electric vehicles discussion

My parents always rented our TVs when I was young. They never had a car either until I was 10, and that was living in village with one bus per week. One of the reasons for me was when two colleagues bought EVs and kept saying how nice they are to drive and their ability to use the free charger...

I don't use a home charger, but I believe you can only charge one car at a time so would have to alternate even if the driveway had room for two cars. Is that correct?

Very few people need to charge every night.

    Supermarkets discussion

A new search facility was available on my Sainsbury's self scan handset on Saturday which should tell you which aisle a product is located in. Didn't work for me when I tried to locate some Volker Gingerbread Vanilla cakes which were available in store.

Crown Point Open Day - Ticket link not working?

Quoting the local EDP newspaper website (which is ad heavy and not pleasant to use) "More than 1,100 tickets giving people the chance to explore a Norfolk train depot for the first time in more than 30 years have been snapped up - within two-and-half hours of being made available."

Crown Point Open Day - Ticket link not working?

Managed to book mine just after 10 this morning. Couple of other people I know got there's at about 11.

Crown Point Open Day - Ticket link not working?

Currently says that more may become available at a later date. Definitely demand for open days, just a pity there couldn't be more.
