I don't consider that very much remarshalling!
Fair point on the Liv Street joiner though. Are there others? The majority turn around in quick time and head back north as-is.
Since very little marshalling occurs at Cambridge and none at Liverpool Street, a 5 car is locked in as such for several hours and even if you don't see it rammed on one leg, it may be on the next, or the one after that, or after that.
Without knowing what time and direction you travel I can't...
Whatever one thinks of the company and its founder, Robin Gisby is a fantastic addition to the board, now Chairman which is news to me, a really good guy by all accounts and a proper railwayman. I wish him well
Rule of thumb when booking a seat in standard on an 80x, the tables have a full window, the airline seats behind the table seats therefore do not, and the airline seats two rows back from the table always have an excellent view.
Not including yours, of course!
Actually I only just found the Live Times feature on Trainsplit (I have had manual updates off on my entire device, purely to preserve the old NRE app).
It looks really good and the simple view of time/expected/destination/platform and easy fast toggle to...
That works nicely too!
We seem to be in a post-app era! All the apps are just bad feature-limited presentations of websites, mobile websites are fast and flexible!
I noticed this last week as well. Planner works but live departures does not.
I still find Ontime Trains app to be too information dense and RTT the text too big! RTT is better but I just want a list of departures that I can scroll quickly through an hour or two.
Railboard is good but still...
I think we'd have seen plans and a year or two more of design and engineering tenders, proposals and contracts if it was anything ambitious.
Well I hope they don't butcher it too much. A lot of us will be very sad when it is modernised, it will lose so much charm, authenticity and history.
I...
Yes. The logic is working as it should.
If you had guessed DEE and the answer was EDE (not a real station) it would show yellow yellow green.
If you had guessed DEE and the answer was EDB, it would show yellow yellow blank. If it showed yellow yellow yellow, it would suggest that all three...
In an ideal world if we are moving stations, I'd move Letchworth station entirely, about 500m, to a point east of Norton Way where the carriage sidings are. Remodel the sidings and build a third platform north of the main running lines. Entrances would be on Birds Hill to the town side and off...
I know what you meant but it's the other way round. Ticket is not valid for trains departing London at those times.
The train needs to have departed London no earlier than 09:06 and not between 15:00 and 18:58 inclusive.
They always had plenty of marginal time between their departure times at Stansted and Cambridge. They had (and still have) generous pathing time at Audley End and a sparse service to fit around up to Shepreth Branch Jn. I believe their dwell time at Cambridge used to be four minutes before...
