It would appear the latest attempt to do something with the WCR Mk1 fleet has failed...
.. from https://railwayherald.com/
EDIT: I should say thats the relevant part of the story, the rest is background history.
Logically if it had succeeded I am sure WCRC would have been shouting, and as...
Looks like the charter is having problems, having overheated just south of Preston. Been sat in Platform 7 (eastern most line) at Preston for 20+ minutes, having lost 18 minutes between Farington Jn (On time) and Ribble Jn.
To be honest, that aim was made in September last year when they applied. There is no passing the buck. The ORR can only awarded Regulation 5 exemption if there is a plan in place to fit the fleet with CDL with an agreed timescale. The emphasis of how to do, when and proving that the system...
Can anyone tell me if the Somersault signal that was at Ketton is still present and in use? I dont recall seeing any references anywhere to it going, but equally, cannot recall seeing any images lately?

Yes would agree entirely. First Co-Co bi-mode in the UK suitable for heavy freight on both diesel and electric over more than 'last mile' distance.
Either next week or the week after yes - overnight moves on the WCML. Gather they will be hauled from Leicester to Crewe.
I dont know the exact...
Be unlikely to go to Leicester as ROG dont have anything there now - its all maintained by Loram at Derby, although the contract for the 93s is separate to the rest of the ROG fleet.
Not unreasonable and given its walking through a train, I suspect it is more managing numbers than anything - itsa free exhibition.
Remember this is a 12-month tour ... they have said its going to all regions in Great Britain, and I think West Somerset is a stop so I am told (not confirmed) so...
