Looks like the charter is having problems, having overheated just south of Preston. Been sat in Platform 7 (eastern most line) at Preston for 20+ minutes, having lost 18 minutes between Farington Jn (On time) and Ribble Jn.

I am hearing a temporary slight reduction in workload and they will be back in service in April. Presumably, if the current work is more suited to '66s' it makes more sense to temporarily store the '69s' than continuing to pay exams, maintenance etc, for something that might not be earning...

Yes the Leicester building is for Stadler to maintain the GBRf 99s, the first of which should be in the UK May/June time. Nothing to do with the 93s.

Be unlikely to go to Leicester as ROG dont have anything there now - its all maintained by Loram at Derby, although the contract for the 93s is separate to the rest of the ROG fleet.
