James (my son) was so happy he got 50 subscribers he wanted to make a compilation of all the freight and test trains he has managed to see since he started

My son wanted to go and see it for his YouTube channel so we managed to catch it going through Lochwinnoch, I have to say it’s definitely not Scotrail blue, it’s slightly darker. Not sure if I’m allowed to post a link to the video here or not

Having travelled from Neilston for many years and regularly watched the driver move ends I’m almost certain that they always walked along the track, some would just walk down and up between the inner 2 cabs whilst others would walk end to end.

I’m must echo that sentiment, I’ve travelled on these trains since they took over from the 303’s on the Neilston line and they have served my little village well. They’ve handled the Snow, Wind and Rain with ease (I recall walking to The Station to get on a 314 during the “Beast from the East”)...

209 on its own this morning for the 7.55 from Neilston to Glasgow, that’s not going to be popular considering the 7.41 (usually a 318/320 pair) was cancelled. I’m intrigued to see how they cover these diagrams come Monday the 16th

202 and 216 on the 7.55 Neilston to Glasgow Central this morning

202 and 205 made up the 17.18 to Neilston, a repeat of the units used on the 7.55 Neilston to Glasgow central this morning. Up until recently they seemed to mix one Carmine with one Saltire so a nice all Carmine surprise while it lasts.

No work has been carried out yet and I don’t think any 385s have visited yet
