As the 456s are not being retractioned and will be around for a while working with the 455s (until both are replaced in the next franchise) does the same uncomfortable ride happen?

I finally had that meeting today and can therefore report that they had to cut out chunks of the various underframe bearers (which were badly damaged) and weld in completely new pieces. The floor then needed replacing. Due to the electrical damage (as during the flashover line voltage reached...

I can confirm that the first class seats of the unit used for the press launch were equipped with anti-macassars at the time of the launch. Richard

There are reports of it moving around but I am unable to find a delivery date to Three Bridges. Can anyone advise please and I apologise if it is in the thread - I missed a huge chunk when I was on holiday and must have missed the report?

I gather from Modern Railways (page 7 of the Supplement in the August issue) that both AC motored 455s have completed final acceptance tests. Given that would have been written a few weeks ago can someone confirm if they are now in service please or if not the current state of the project...

At that time that was the diagrammed stock - I think was before the 458 fleet was taken in hand and so the 455s were more reliable.

At times 2 x 458 are sent to Reading with no toilets working - and that can be distressing! Richard

I think some second class seats were removed and have not been replaced - six from each DMSO and 5 from the TSO. They keep the 450/5 designation because they are not there. But I am open to correction on this. Richard

Can anyone advise recent movements to/from Wolverton please? Particularly 456004, 456017? Is the latter now in service please?
