My first visit to the Bluebell and it certainly won't be the last. Great day out with an interesting mix of traction to ride behind and/or photograph. Very friendly staff on the line and the stations are fascinating, museum at Sheffield Park absolutely first rate.

Perhaps we need to consider the importance of the places the lines serve?

I agree that the signage is ambiguous. It is a Pay and Display car park but doesn't explicitly make that clear.

I should add that the Raven is currently closed. The town centre pubs are all fairly close to the entrance to the Heritage Centre, plus the Market Hall is now a food court...
Whitegate Way in Cheshire. 6 mile former salt branch from Cuddington to Winsford converted into a multi use bridleway. The former station at Whitegate has a cafe run by volunteers open part of the week.

I share your frustration, I can no longer catch a connection home from Crewe. Weighing up whether to forego beer during the trip or stump up for an Uber.
