Apologogies for bumping this, but it appears to be an initiative from 2005, as reported here : http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/manchester/4385122.stm
I’d originally assumed it might have been an overhang from the early days of Metrolink, perhaps linked to the period when GMPTE set local rail...
Still seems to be a challenge delivering the six car diagrams.
Had stock related cancellations last week, which is unusual for Leeds North West. I'm assuming 333 availability is still a driver?
Is that our lot for 331 transfers, or are more expected? Thank you.
How's the transfer of sets and rollout going? The number of 6-car diagrams doesn't seem to have grown for a while, and seems to be receding today!
End of summer holidays means it'll be coming to a busy commuter time soon.

See the project listed as 'LNE001b' - Leeds Station Capacity Improvements. The entry...

Looks like a very welcome improvement overall. Having been away for just over a week I'm surprised at the progress that has been made! Thanks for the photos--looking forwards to seeing this for real next week. Roof renewal money well spent.
Was on this service. Had plenty of dwell time at York - lots of Scarborough day trippers got off. Not too busy overall, as still in holiday period. For unclear reasons failed to make a right time departure from York and then went down hill from there. Missed path and then got stuck stuck behind...
The refurbished toilets on the South Concourse are now open for business and the last of the scaffolding boards has come down overnight to reveal the full extent of the replaced roof. Stange to see so much daylight in there after such a long period as a cave. Looks good. Sorry no pic.
Network Rail has now put out a press release with a picture and update - suggests it will all be fully revealed by the end of month:
