It's doubled from Chester as far as Rossett. Was due to be the entire length but the bridge over the A483 would have been way to expensive, so was scaled back.

I've heard a conductor on a North Wales Coast service, slate the use of 4 cars on the Liverpool diagram when we were all crammed on to a 2 car into chester.

Just been on that unit, thought it was looking all shiny and clean.

I was on 230007 this morning, 6.20 dep from Wrexham. Water all over one of the tables and one of the side seats was left up, as if someone had been looking/repairing something under it. Considering it had come direct from the depot, its pretty poor not to notice these things, before sending it...

Used a couple of 3 car 197's this week, and chose to sit in the former "Standard Plus" section. Very spacious and comfortable, can tell people are still weary of sitting in there due to the vinyls on the doors. Unless your in the know, you won't sit in there I guess.

I was on a 4 car 158 at 9am this morning from Wrexham and they were both going to Holyhead. Thought it was a bit overkill to be honest given the shortage of them.

Well the Swansea part was cancelled. I couldn't have imagined being on it

Why not terminate it, unless the unit had to be in Cardiff one way or another

I've juat heard a news report on the radio (Nation Radio), that said a person was killed. Given it was a heart attack, due to the effects of the collision, should they be correcting this? A sad situation regardless and thoughts are with the person's family.

I mean, they could place it within the station itself somewhere. Not by the bins where it's probably going to get vandalised etc

More direct Liverpool services would from Wrexham would be good too. Perhaps joining with the Coast - Liverpool trains at Chester with 2+2 units.

An a separate note. I was at Cardiff Central last week and the whole announcement seemed like a mish mash of inserted recorded voices.

Those breakfasts are ridiculous. Didn't have the big one, the standard one defeated me. 1st Class on HD07 needs a touch of TLC but very comfortable reclining seats and excellent host.
