From the Bolton end it looks like they are ready for a pull through of the ATF cable, with all covers removed from the troughing for some considerable distance towards Lostock.Lever street footbridge has had additional wire mesh and signage installed making it look like the worlds biggest...
Bolton- as far as I could see all OHL temporary fixings now replaced looking south from the station (towards Manchester),to the north there are still a dozen or so in the Bolton west/Bullfield area to be replaced.Work on the ATF troughing in this same area is all but finished.

Engineers train on ballast duties ,currently parked up at Bolton station.The old ballast from platform 5 drainage works was loaded this morning, new ballast also on board as the work continues.
Bolton-plenty of activity this morning, mainly to do with the ongoing drainage work on platform 5 track.Some (but not all)temporary fixtures on the wiring runs have now been replaced with permanent fittings.Incidentally,the timetable for the early hours of November 1st and 2nd makes interesting...
Bolton-platform 5 now has contact and catenary ,starting at a Tensorex drum in Bullfield (just past Morrisons footbridge) through to Orlando St. bridge.Temporary fixings again used in some places.
Bolton-a new mast has been fitted to the tiled wall on platform 1,both platform 5 & 1 look good to go for the wiring team with cantilever arms now swung into postion over the tracks.Photos to follow.
Bolton- apart from platform 1 having a severe deveg and continued work on ATF troughing on platform 5 nothing has changed.Platforms 1 & 5 remain unwired, all temporary fixtures and fittings remain in place on the wires that are up within the station area.In short, no progress.
Bolton-platform 3 run off towards Bradshawgate tunnel now wired.Platform 5 wiring has started and further work noted in the Bullfield area.Photos to follow
