Cheers for the reply, always nice to know that from time to time it's potentially available but also if you like your time off ( family, golf, football, pop, girlfriends )not in that order, your under no pressure.
Does anyone know at this early stage if overtime will be available and would it be frowned on if someone turned it down? I know some companies almost count on employees doing it.
I'm used to working shifts so I know how precious time off can be especially weekends!
Hi shati
I think most of day 2 assessment was covered really well in an earlier post by Drazky. I found the perception test quite tricky but the other two fairly straightforward. You can prepare for the computer tests by purchasing train driver software platinum package off amazon/eBay for...
Good luck to all going through the various stages of the selection process. Just looking at the information on this forum has been invaluable to me.
Research, practice and try to keep yourself calm on the day is probably the best advice I can give you.

Excellent news Peps123, was a very challenging day. Down to the final hurdle, I've got my interview on the 1st February so I'll be able to shed a bit of light on it for those who are having there's after.
How many people went through to the interview stage?
Well done everyone who passed day 2 of the assessment earlier. very challenging day slightly less stressful than the 1st assessment day. Roll on the Line manger interview.

Is there anyone on the forum that can confirm no mini interview is carried out on the 1st assessment day for cross rail? Could save me a lot of time and effort if I knew just to focus on the practicing the tests.
Thank you all!
Not sure if it's been covered on a thread already but can anyone tell us if the group bourdon test for cross rail is paper based or on a computer? Really appreciate everyone's help as this forum has helped immensely
What a great bit of advice leebob I think jimbo 89 will owe you a drink if he makes it. I've made it to an assessment day in January. Do you think the practice material is similar enough to the actual questions? I hope they don't test for caffeine that morning!
Thanks Valle I'll keep checking my email every few minutes!!! I'm going to apply to as many as possible as the process is very tough and highly sort after. Keep in touch and let us know your future plans I'm sure it'll be a case that you will make it with another operator or even this one if you...
