Hi,
Can a zip oyster for 5-11 year olds be used as follows in conjunction with a national rail ticket:
Journey I'm making - Richmond to Portsmouth via Clapham (avoiding Waterloo).
5-11 zip oyster valid Richmond - Clapham - Surbiton.
I would then need a National Rail ticket from Surbiton to...
Not fully correct. It's true that the direct TER service between Nice and Marseille is no longer valid with FIP, but if you are willing to change (and make the journey longer), SNCF TER services do still cover the full route on which FIP is valid.
Hi,
Does anyone know what the situation is with a TfL Nominee Oyster Card that is temperamental? The wait for a new one is 8 weeks, which is insane.
It sometimes works, and sometimes it doesn't work. A new one has been applied for and nowhere on the form did it state the current oyster must no...
I can't see any reason why I can't share this - so here is a totally empty base roster that one depot on the EL works to. So we work in blocks of 10 (the next block of 10 is very similar). Well we actually have 15 of these 10 week blocks at my depot. So Line 11/21/31/41 etc would look pretty...
Have you been shown what a 4-day week could look like? I'm sure I could somehow share a base roster plan from the Elizabeth Line. We do roughly 7.5 weeks at work, working on average a 4.5 day week - and then we have 2.5 weeks off roughly. On average that works out to a 4 day week as some of our...
Cairns was supposed to read Brisbane. Error now corrected on the post!!
I had planned on taking the Spirit of Outback between Gympie and Brisbane. And Spirit of Queensland from Cairns to Gympie. Very unlucky sadly. I ended up buying a very very last minute flight and now having to fight to get...
I generally fly on Chinese based airlines to Asia (and in this case further to NZ, and currently to Australia) due to routing and costs. And in fact have already got tickets from London to Auckland. Paid about £590 return. China Southern, China Eastern, Shenzhen and Air China are all good...
I'm not sure what rostering is like at Overground, but at Elizabeth Line we work 8 weeks (I call it 7.5 weeks) and then we have 2 weeks off (I call it 2.5 weeks off as it's a minimum of 16 days I get off in a row). And for me this roster is brilliant. Obviously this is therefore an average 4 day...
I'm not following this strike action at all. Didn't the drivers have a 4 day working week agreed in a recent pay deal? I thought that's what they wanted. As a driver on a 4 day week, I find it bizarre anyone would want a 5 day week!
Hi, so the answers to your questions...
1) I checked in at 08:00 outside the coach (departure is at 08:05). There was a guy with a clipboard there. I have no idea what anyone else did but I got the feeling that there was no other way to check in (unless you also had luggage to check in...
Update.
So I'm on The Overland right now to Ararat. What fantastic value for 11.40AUD and that includes the return on a VLine service. The guy in the ticket office at Flinders Street told me just to show the one-way ticket (and as it was the maximum fare in the Victoria area, I wouldn't need to...
Thank you both. I guess I'll go for the first station I can purchase then, and just get off at Katoomba. My 2 week trip is possibly a bit too hectic but I'm alone and usually prefer hectic over calm!
Thank you - That answers Katoomba... But I have also tried Lithgow and it doesn't find any connections at all! It just says "no results found". Very puzzled!
First stop it'll sell to me is Tarana. Is there anything to stop me getting off earlier? Do Katoomba or Lithgow have barriers at the station?
