That’s the problem Stigy isn’t it.
I’m not great a reading people and am never sure whether the interviewer wants me to agree with them or to see if I’m prepared to (or able to) put forward a different opinion.
It’s a tough one and I am sure there isn’t a definitive right or wrong way to do...
It’s a well known interview technique. When your relaxed you tend to reveal the real you rather than the interview you.
Her Majesty’s Constabulary use it to get suspects talking and once their talking they tend to give information away.
I fell for it with a TOC last year. I just got too relaxed...
In the past they have provided a car from your Home Depot, eg Crewe, to the training in say, Ipswich.
Grouped a few people together to travel in the one car, share the driving etc.
Down on Sunday (at a mutually agreed time), back on Friday after classroom work.
This may or maybe not what they...
No I’m not.
There are some really good guys at Crewe. Don’t be afraid to ask any of them for advice or help.
Good luck both to you and to all the new starters.
The honest answer is I don’t know.
I did spend more time with IM mentors than HH but didn’t really get into asking whether that was because there were fewer IM drivers needing handling or because there were more IM mentors.
I will say that all the mentors at Crewe, from both sides, are good...

As I said I’m not criticising them as it is just one of those things. I understand...
Whatever timescales you are given I would take with a pinch of salt.
11 months after starting I am just out road learning at my depot. That is as an already qualified driver. Nothing has happened in the time frames given.
This isn’t a criticism of Freightliner it is just the way things worked...
Once you have your line in the link I think your rest days are set.
It’s a 51 line link at HH Crewe based on 17 lines. So every 17 weeks the rest day pattern repeats.
Make sure any examples used in these scenario based questions are true.
You have to talk about them and that is a difficult thing to maintain if you’ve made them up.
Don’t stress. Remember that from 100s possibly 1000s of applicants they have chosen to interview you. (I know that’s easier said...
I use CAR which is similar to the STAR technique.
“CAR Explained
Context: First explain the surrounding context for which you were required to act upon.
Action: Describe your actions to remedy the problem or to create new opportunities.
Result: What was the outcome of your actions / how did...
