This recruitment is still going ahead, despite the rumours of qualified drivers taking the jobs. The back log is due to clear and I've been told training is still on course to take 12-14 months. I've got a start date this month, so all those still waiting hold tight!

What depot / TOC are you waiting to start with? It seems GTR recruitment is all over the place at the moment with lack of driving instructors and the training school temporarily closed. I would imagine a loss of franchise will affect it even further as the new TOC would need time to set...

Interested to hear from anyone that has attended assessments or interviews and what the outcome was? I passed all OPC tests with another TOC recently so was invited to a DMI at Blackfriars back in April which I passed. Just waiting on training course start dates apparently, the wait is a killer!

I've done my medical and references from the first round of recruitment, just waiting on a on contract and course start date. Out of interest East1991, were you given the option of course start dates, did they mention any later in the summer?

Just got an email invite to a stage 1 assessment on 5th January. I applied on 7th November, so they are still working through the applications...

Any idea how many of the 15k got invited to do the online test?

Has anyone got a straight Yes and didn't have to do the online test? I'm still waiting to hear, submitted the application on 13th October, day before closing.
