Would it be possible to use 2 x laminated screens as a retro fit OR in future designs?
Or could a ballistic glass screen be used instead? Cost shouldn't come in to it when its to to protect the human in command of a train potentially full of other humans.
My mother dropped her debit card while in her local bank & didn't notice until a short time later after returning home.
She rang up to report the card lost & it was already noted on the banks system that a member of staff had found it in branch & destroyed the card as it was there banks policy...
We use a similar type of traction interlock on forklifts & scissor lifts where they have a onboard charger to stop you driving away with the unit still plugged in to the mains.

Any information if it was a genuine battery or one of the many fakes that are around.
The amount of fake / copy battery packs available for power tools is eye opening.
I own lithium ion battery packs for my power tools, there genuine batteries & have protection built in to stop them...

AC motors are a lot less lifetime cost & hassle to look after plus you can get more power from a smaller lighter motor then the equivalent DC motor.

Why don't people who are concerned about there device running out of juice bring there own power bank instead of expecting the train operator to provide a socket & electricity for free?
Maybe as a compromise have QI wireless charging points in 1st class built in to the tables.
I know it won't help I phone owners as Apple hasn't invented wireless charging yet :lol:
But anyone with a decent spec Nokia, Microsoft or Samsung phone will be ok.

The thing that annoys me about ticket barriers at railway stations is its very rare to find them actually in use due to staff shortages.
Early in the morning or late at night is a pretty good time to find barriers locked open & no ticket checks being done on the train.
