Return tickets are valid without inward part,probably just wondering why someone was stood in the rain with dark glasses on filming,bit coincidental you was filming as they turned up maybe some had reported it to them.

Correct me if I'm wrong but did you have your mobile ticket checked on numerous occasions and scanned then unlucky for you someone picked up that it had been scanned a few times therefore it had been used multiple times

You have to manually select the appropriate railcard it wont automatically select the railcard for you.

My understanding is you can only get a promise to pay if the ticket office is closed as your supposed to "buy before you ride" where facilities are available,if the ticket office is shut then you can use a promise to pay but must pay by cash as you can use card in machines.

I find It hard to believe u walked up and down the train twice looking to purchase a ticket? 156 trains do have cameras and if needed may be used in evidence

As far as I know the northern/g4s revenue team was at preston yesterday on so maybe u left via the subway entrance towards Debenhams

i do beleive that northern rail can issue unpaid fair tickets for returns aswel.

i find it very difficult to actually see how u missed the ticket office theres signs
