I walked down Brackensdale Avenue and Knightsbridg in Mackworth today and could find no evidence of the Link 2 (Notts & Derby Royal Hospital - Mackworth circular service) stops at Greenland Avenue or Hanover Square. How long does it take to put up new bus stop signs?

It’s a strange approach to building patronage for a new service. While they wait for poles to be installed you would have thought they would place temporary bus stop signs at those stops with poles. Is there a reason they can’t do this?

It seems they have been quite busy putting up new poles, timetables and flags. One’s appeared at the Tesco end of Haven Baulk Lane while today I passed new stops on the Link 2 at Barnes Green and Morden Green (both in Mackworth). There are also supposed to be stops (according to the Link 2...

Kipling Drive (Tesco) on Link 1 now has a flag and timetable. Both Chain Lane and Arundel Avenue still only have the new service coming soon notice on them.

My assumption is that it’s providing a direct connection to the hospital for Heatherton, Pastures Hill and Littleover village centre. When I walked up the upper half of the Haven Baulk Lane and The Hollow I couldn’t see one bus stop even though logically you’d think there would be one.

I would agree with you, I cannot see much changing with either Arriva or Trent Barton’s routes in Derby as both operators have had long enough to do something new but have chosen not to do so. I can’t speak for Arriva but when was the last time Trent Barton introduced a completely new route in...
