Hi Neil, I don't think anybody other than First themselves could answer that. I'm still waiting for the results from the assessment the other week and people who sat the assessment the following day have already been invited to the next stage. I assuming that I have probably failed at this stage!
I got onto question 10 and filled in the first fault box, I didn't get time to establish if there were 2 faults.
I'm in Turkey for the next assessments, so If I pass I have to fund the assessments myself through DB Schencker.
I agree in using a mouse. I used the finger pad! Definitely not offended by your advice, I wouldn't be disappointed if I don't progress with Northern, I really can't afford the pay drop training and top rate is still below my current salary. However I will be disappointed if I fail TPE as...
Me too Phil, any idea what it's all about?
Picking out sequences of numbers that don't match. I only answered 40, I got them all right but I don't think that's enough!
I'm still waiting my results from Wednesdays TPE assessment so fingers crossed on that one. These processes have been a...
I asked the very same question. Would they take the top percentage and she advised the group, no if you pass, you will go to the next stage! That's when most fail and following the management interview at which point they can basically pick who is best suited for the role.
I'm assuming we...
Sorry about your dog. I'm not giving anything away, that post was copied and pasted from the ocop assessment body. It doesn't in anyway assist or help others. I read that before I attended today and still didn't have any idea what to expect. You cant prepare for this excercise, only complete...
The test consists of 20 diagrams of a new and innovative train system. For each diagram candidates are also presented with the display panel showing different instruments and dials for that particular train, some technical information about the train and a fault finder guide.
The fault finder...
Yes I went today 12:00hrs. It's none of the standard driver assessments, it the DFFT (driver fault finding test). It was quite difficult! There is 20 questions, with 15mins on the clock. Nobody answered more than 10.
If you pass this, the standard assessments (mechanical, concentration...
Well the only assessment of the day is the DFFT which is quite difficult, especially with the time constraints!
For any of you that are still waiting short listing, I would assume that you've been unsuccessful. We was informed that out of 4600 applicants, 150 have been short listed for...
Hi Dave, I am also there at 12:00hrs. I have spoken with HR and they have advised no packs are being sent and wouldn't state elaborate on what the tests involve. I'm thinking spatial reasoning, mechanical comprehension and trainibility for rules. But who knows!
Hi ayamonte,
I preparing for all assessments under the national standards. However I am thinking, the problem solving will be the mechanical comprehension, rules acquisition and spatial reasoning.
