Oh yeah - not often both go though. Normally closing the desk down and reopening will get door tones again, but PA is another matter. BUT if they're stretched even THAT may not get you to run off. UNLESS you say to controller you're REQUESTING as concern over safety putting the onus back onto...
Actually no. I have had such, and had to make announcements "Doors closing" then closing doors. But you request a changeover ASAP whether you get one is a matter of if any sets are spare, any spare drivers are handy
Forced on them, I'm afraid. It's far from the first time someone has tried to make a mountain out of a molehill due to taking pictures or filming. There are quite a number trying to "catch out drivers" who don't actually need to be doing anything wrong, by the way. Its like a game with quite a...
Its his attempts to report drivers for no reason he's despised for. He has reported drivers after chatting with them. He's THAT kind of creature. THAT is why he's disliked.
PLUS a note has gone up telling drivers NOT to allow filming on Metro property (And the Airport platform isn't ?) and it's...
Agree. Believe me, those new ones.....they're claustrophobic. Agreed with taking out the small glass part, but now it's gone, the cab seems too small and enclosed.
My jaw dropped open at this. Lifting your hand is "swearing at him" ??????
Ive lifted my hand hundreds of times. Thumbs up too (he'd probably interpret it as a death threat )

This kind of thing gets people REALLY stressed out, feeling they are...
Its rare the public think about the driver in such cases. Speaking as a driver, I can tell you when you have an incident like this, it can effect you for months.
Fantastic photos ! :D

First thought was cable snatchers. New cars caught alight ???.....worrying if so.
When I was in my training (A LONG time ago) there was three of us on late night training, the windows were COVERED with "NOT IN SERVICE" sheets (much bigger than any seen now) the lights were off, it was dark, and STILL people would press the buttons, rant and rave that they couldn't get on...
Isn't the new wash ready yet ? Have been laid up in plaster for past 5 weeks or so, would've thought it would have been at least close to completion.
Been stuck in the house, hopping and hobbling round the house (in a fair bit of pain too, but I digress !)
They also seem to be having more...
Can't understand the fuss. It was needed, so came out with a base coat on. So what ? Were the doors hanging off ? Bad brakes ? (Not that the passengers would know about that until the driver has to use the track brake)
So it's got an undercoat on.
BIG DEAL.
A pair of them DID come out today. There were fitters on the rear car, and I was chatting with the driver while he was at a red at South Gosforth (waiting for MY train)
Its a bit irritating and frustrating, to see so many fare dodgers, it seems to get significantly worse every year. Its those blokes in the 40s 50s that annoy the most. They should know better, just basically dishonest i suppose.
The company can do nothing, really. Hands tied to please the tub...
